About the Project
TuneIn is an app that I designed for my UI/UX class. The purpose of the app is for users to rate and review TV shows and bring a community of TV lovers together. The app is heavily inspired by apps like Letterboxd and was fully designed using Figma, where I incorporated a lot of micro interactions and animations. I also had to apply some research methods for this project, like the SUS Form and user personas.
Prototyping
Since this project was designed using Figma, I had to do some prototyping. Even though I had an idea of what the app was going to look like, I still made some digital sketches and prototypes. I also made a sitemap so I could get a sense of how the app would be laid out. After all of that, I finally started to put the project together and apply micro interactions
Visual Identity
When coming up with the identity of the app, I wanted to go with a chill, vibrant type of style. I went with a color palette that matched that style, and I also designed a logo for the app as well. For the font choice, I wanted to have the font on the logo be a retro, 80s type of font, and with the rest, I just went with a sans serif font in Sonar Sans.
